This week we launched our first NW London ICS Green Plan (2022-2025)
Our commitment to meet NHS England’s net zero targets for emissions and mitigate the NHS’s impact on climate change.
The three-year plan will start to reduce emissions from ours sites, working practices and supply chain and support organisations within the ICS to deliver on their own green plans.
Our plan aims to bring positive change for our patients, communities and staff and address inequalities through improving environmental health and embedding social values.
We will work to:
- Make our estate more energy efficient and resilient
- Decarbonise our vehicle fleet, by moving to electric vehicles
- Implement social values in our procurement process
- Remove carbon emissions and plastic from our supply chains
- Move to more sustainable models of care
- Make best use of digital tools to reduce carbon emissions and resource usage
- Encourage patients and staff to make positive changes
