Getting your Covid-19 vaccination at a vaccine bus

9 May 2022

Students from the Global Academy in Hillingdon, aged 14 to 19, have been starring, producing and editing a film to promote COVID vaccinations to their peers.

Liz volunteered to appear in a short film, which showed him walking by a pop up vaccination site and entering to get his jab. The process itself was shown to be quick and easy.

The filming took place over one day, with ten students involved in the filming and editing.

Project spokesperson Sam West said: “I really enjoyed getting this opportunity to work with the NHS. It was really fun seeing everyone involved having fun on the shoot and enjoying helping our local community.”

Marimar Carreno, Hillingdon’s Engagement & Equalities Manager for Hillingdon Brent & Harrow, who collaborated with the students on this project, was pleased with how it went, saying: “Everyone was very excited and delighted with the idea of being able to help NHS.

“I have to say that it has been a real pleasure working with them - and I hope that this is the first of many other collaborations.”
