NHS North West London, in collaboration with local authorities and partners responsible for the delivery and planning of health and social care services are working together to refresh our Mental Health strategy.
We are taking a phased approach that will start with reviewing progress against previous and existing strategies with a focus on adult mental health.
As part of this first phase, we will look to understand:
- What services are working well?
- What treatments and/or services do patients, residents and staff feel they need that are not readily available?
- What progress has been made to reduce known inequalities in access to adult mental health services?
- What are the service and treatment priorities in each of our eight NW London boroughs?
We are now working with patient groups to develop our engagement approach.
The first draft of the strategy is due September 2023, with timelines for a further period of public engagement ahead of a final draft to be confirmed.
