Following years of planning, the temporary move to support the new build of Chiswick Health Centre is planned for late April. Patients registered at the GP practices within Chiswick Health Centre will receive detailed information in a letter over the next week about the temporary move to Stamford Brook Centre.
Plans to develop a new Chiswick Health Centre began in Autumn 2019. Construction of the new Chiswick Health Centre will now begin in late spring at the site currently occupied by West4GPs, Chiswick Health Practice and Chiswick Family Doctors Practice.
During construction, all patients registered at these practices will be temporarily relocated to Stamford Brook Centre. The anticipated date for this relocation is 17 April 2023, this will be confirmed with patients registered at the practice.
Stamford Brook Centre has been renovated to support this interim move. The centre will be named Chiswick Health Centre @ Stamford Brook.
Will patients need to do for the temporary move?
The current process of contacting the practice and booking appointments will remain the same. The doctors and nurses will also relocate to Stamford Brook Centre so patients can continue to receive care from the same health professionals. Patients will still be able to collect prescriptions from their current pharmacy.
About the new Chiswick Health Centre
The large, modern development will improve healthcare services for thousands of local residents and provide 55 affordable homes for NHS keyworkers. The centre will provide a broader range of GP services, including community and mental health services.
