World Heart Day falls on Friday 29 September this year, reminding everyone around the world to take care of their hearts. This year focuses on ‘knowing our hearts first’. It also coincides with NHS North London Cardiac Operational Delivery Network’s campaign to raise awareness of heart attack symptoms to help save lives. Recognising the possible signs of a heart attack and anything that may be unusual for you, is essential in being able to get help quickly.
Consultants and junior doctors will jointly stage strike action from 7am on Monday 2 October until 7am on Thursday 5 October.
ICON Week is taking on place 25-29 September. It aims to raise awareness of infant crying and how to cope.
The awareness campaign will support parents/carers and prevent serious injury, illness and even death of young babies as a result of Abusive Head Trauma that happens when someone shakes a baby.
These awards are our way of recognising those people who are working so hard to make a difference – big or small – to reducing health inequalities. This is an important part of sharing successes across NW London and seeing how we can all learn from them.
