MSK criteria and specifications

These referral criteria, triage specifications and pharmacological management have been developed with community specialists, consultant and GP leads from across NW London's trusts and CCGs. These guidelines provide general advice and do not replace a clinician’s responsibility to assess each clinical case.  The CCG will not accept liability for any loss, damage or inconvenience arising as a consequence of any use of or the inability to use any information in this document.

*Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, connective tissue disease and Vasculitis, Hip Osteoarthritis, Inflammation of multiple joints, Inflammation of one joint, inflammation of the spine, knee pain, low back pain and Sciatica, metabolic bone disease – Osteoporosis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis, shoulder pain, chronic widespread pain (Fibromyalgia, Chronic primary pain).
