About us

This is the website of NHS North West London, legally known as the NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (ICB), and the North West London Integrated Care System (ICS).

NHS North West London

NHS North West London is responsible for contracting healthcare services locally and the oversight of the local NHS budget. It has extensive role in primary, secondary and community care, some of which are sole responsibilities, others in a joint or shared function with NHS England.

We cover the London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Westminster, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

North West London ICS

North West London ICS brings together organisations, including local authorities, and partners responsible for the delivery and planning of health and care service within our eight boroughs.

As local authorities have responsibility for social care, this acts as a body where the strategic thinking of health and social care can be brought closer together. The two traditional strands should be further co-ordinated in the future.

Formal meetings are the Integrated Care Partnership Committee (ICP).

All ICSs in the country are responsible for reducing healthcare inequalities in their area.

These are their broad objectives:

  • improving outcomes in population health and health care
  • tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
  • enhancing productivity and value for money
  • helping the NHS to support broader social and economic development.

The North West London ICS and NHS North West London is led by an independent Chair, Penny Dash, and chief executive, Rob Hurd.
