The Advocacy Project free lecture this month is all about getting end of life care right.

There’s only one chance to get end of life care right. We have a responsibility to make sure people receive the best possible care during the final stage of their lives – not only addressing medical needs, but also an individual’s personal needs and cultural requirements or beliefs.

In North West London patients and families are currently being invited to play a critical role in shaping palliative services to ensure end of life care meets the needs of their communities. This work is being led by Dr Lyndsey Williams, NW London GP Clinical Lead for End of Life and Care Homes, and on 26 October she will join us to talk more about the project. Join us to hear how Dr Williams’ work is changing the way that palliative care is delivered and what we can learn – both within North West London and on a national level.  Dr Williasm will be joined by by Professor Bee Wee, National Clinical Director for End of Life Care, NHS England and Cllr Ketan Sheth, Chair, Brent Community and Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee.

Please join us at 5.50pm for a 6pm start. After booking you will be able to access the Zoom link through Eventbrite - it will also be sent via email the day before the lecture. There will be plenty of time for Q&A during the event, but please note that we will be unable to answer questions about individuals' personal circumstances.
