NHS North West London proposes changing provider for community services in Hounslow

5 February 2024

NHS North West London, Integrated Care Board (ICB) and HRCH have agreed to end our contractual arrangement - in effect leading to a change of provider for community services in Hounslow from July 2024. This marks an important step in strengthening community services in the London Borough of Hounslow and reflects our commitment to deliver equity of service provision across North West London.

NHS North West London wants to act quickly to provide certainty for staff about their future employer.  This means we will shortly publish a request to hear from providers who can meet the ICB’s requirement for delivery.  After 14 days, we will then have the most complete information to identify the right next steps to award a contract. This contract will be for a period of 21 months, whilst we continue work on consistency of access, outcomes and experience for residents across North West London.

We believe we will be in a position to formally announce the provider for this transitional period shortly after Easter.

Rob Hurd, Chief Executive, told the NHS North West London Integrated Care Board:

“The decision to transfer these services supports our ongoing commitment to ensuring health and care equality across all boroughs within North West London.  We will follow a transparent process to seek to serve the best care for one of the most diverse and vibrant boroughs in North West London.”
