Dr Penny Dash, Chair of North West London Integrated Care System and NHS North West London, will join NHS England as its new chair on 1 April 2025.
Wes Streeting, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, confirmed the appointment yesterday, after the relevant parliamentary and governmental procedures were completed. This follows an announcement last month about her selection as preferred candidate for the role.
Penny has been chair of NHS North West London since it was established on 1 July 2022, leading the way from our transition from a Clinical Commissioning Group. She started her tenure as North West London Integrated Care System chair a few months earlier
Rob Hurd, CEO of NHS North West London, said:
“Penny has been an inspirational chair and a valued colleague over the last four years and we are delighted to see the appointment has been confirmed.
“While her leadership and insight across the north west London system will be missed, the NHS as a whole can benefit greatly from her vision and expertise.”
A process to recruit a new Chair of North West London Integrated Care System and NHS North West London will now take place. Penny remains in-post until 31 March 2025.
You can learn more about her previous roles within healthcare in the Government’s press release.
We wish Penny all the very best in her new role and look forward to working closely with her at national level.
