North West London Integrated Care System

Our Integrated Care System (ICS) is one of 42 across the country. We bring together north west London’s NHS organisations with local authorities and community organisations to plan services for our patients, residents and communities.

When the Integrated Care System (ICS) meets it is referred to as the Intergrated Care Partnership (ICP). The ICP’s primary responsibility is to develop the North West London Integrated Care Strategy for the whole population across our eight boroughs.

That strategy must be built with the needs of our patients put first, focusing on improving health and care outcomes, reducing inequalities, and ensuring equal access to services. It outlines how local authorities, the ICB, and the NHS will work together to provide services and will be considered when making plans and carrying out our duties.

In addition to developing the strategy, the ICP also:

  • aligns purpose and ambitions with plans to join up care and improve the health and wellbeing of our local populations;
  • facilitates joint action to improve services and influence the wider determinants of health and broader social and economic development
  • reviews the progress against delivery of the strategy, plans and actions on an ongoing basis.
